By the end of this guide, you'll know all the best tips and tactics for countering the Wandering Vagrant, the Magma Worm, the Clay Dunestrider, and any other boss you might come across during your runs. There are currently 8 different Bosses that can spawn in Risk of Rain 2 (not counting Elite variants), each of which has different attack patterns and viable strategies for countering them - all of which we'll go over in our Risk of Rain 2 bosses guide. Items such as the Unstable Tesla Coil and Preon Accumulator are extremely powerful especially early on if you get them.Every roguelite needs bosses aplenty to test your newly formed character to the max, and the Risk of Rain 2 bosses do not disappoint in this regard. 6) Only attempt this achievement once you have unlocked the vast majority of items in the logbook. 5) The Loader and Artificer are high damage out put characters right from the start and are good choices of characters to use. The golden stone titan is extremely powerful and capable of defeating bosses on it's own. Defeating this secret boss will summon it for every teleportal event from then on. 4) If you have a run where you find a golden shrine make sure to use it to go to the golden coast area. These variants have an absurd amount of health, deal a massive amount of damage with their green spikes attack, and cancel all health gain/regeneration if you are hit by them for several seconds. Any standard enemy can spawn in as a Malachite version. 3) The most dangerous enemies in later stages are Malachite elites. 2) Once you hit stage 10 onward, always rush to find the teleportal and finish the event as quick as you can. If you are playing in multiplayer make sure everyone is picking up items the most relevant to their character and not just grabbing everything as this will eventually leave some people as dead weight. Use these stages to grab as many items for your character as you can. Some tips: 1) Stages 1-10 are your set up stages. I personally did this with myself and a friend. Playing solo or co-op does not really make too much of a difference since we are playing on the easiest difficulty. There is not really a strategy for this as you should play on Drizzle (easy) for the difficulty. This will take a play session of about 4 hours to complete. One of the longer achievements in the game. With this build I got well past 30 multiple times solo on monsoon without problem, so doing it on drizzle should be a cakewalk. Soldier's syringe is always a good option too to continue boosting attack speed. If you are stacked enough in all of these items you can also get armor-peircing rounds to help with boss spawns and paul's goat hoof to focus on movement speed. Shatterspleen is ridiculously OP on this build, you will just melt everyone. Yellow and red items are self explanatory, boost damage and prevent death. With the 6x attack on crit you do bonus damage for all of those with the crowbar and with enough of both you can insta kill most elites. Eventually when you start seeing a lot of elites, focus on crowbar and old guillotine for a little while, until you have like 10x each or more. Then I cycle through infusion and harvesters scythe on green for a while, with white items I focus on soldier's syringe to boost attack speed and the other items cycled in here and there. ![]() If you have the upgraded attack where the Hunter shoots 6x arrows on crit even better. Focus on these items, ordered by importance within groups: White: lens-maker's glasses, medkit, tougher times, soldier's syringe, crowbar, personal shield generator Green: harvester's scythe, predatory instincts (only need 1), infusion, old guillotine Red: dio's best friend, brilliant behemoth Yellow: shatterspleen, planula My plan was always get 9x lens-maker's glasses asap, along with harvester's scythe and then predatory instincts. Caveat for the artifact of command, you have to have unlocked an item for it to show up as an option when using the artifact of command. This was my build for all my runs and made it super easy to get past 20 stages in a game Use the artifact of command and Hunter.
